This Tuesday, there are good reasons to visit Curtas Vila do Conde!

It starts today the National Competition, one of the most awaited moments of the festival! This first session, at 9.15pm, will show three of the movies in competition: "Água Mole", by Laura Gonçalves and Xá (Alexandra Ramires), "Verão Saturno", by Mónica Lima and " Altas Cidades de Ossadas", by João Salaviza. Still within the competitions, we highlight the four sessions of the International Competition at 5pm, 8pm, 10.30pm and 11.30pm, where we will keep on showing the best of international contemporary cinema.

In the In Focus section - that, until Saturday, will show all the movies from the French filmmaker F. J. Ossang - we will show "L'Affaire des Divisions Morturi", the first long-cut film from the director. A story of gladiators where one of them, Ettore, becomes a star of the underworld. He ends up in pieces, trapped in a role he can no longer preform. His last betrayal is to spill the beans to the press.

In today's Carte Blanche, we feature the choices from Marcos Cruz and Rodrigo Affreixo: "31", by Miguel Gomes and "Surviving Desire", by Hal Hartley.

At 4pm, we have the second Take One! Conversation, on the subject "How to Win a Bear" with two filmmakers who have won the Golden Bear a Berlinale: Leanor Teles ("Balada de um Batráquio") and Diogo Costa ("Cidade Pequena").

This Tuesday we will show, at Teatro Municipal, films from the Nordic Countries and Romania, in the European Panorama, at 3pm and 6pm.

At Auditório Municipal we have the free movie sessions, at 2pm, featuring films to all the family. Also at Auditório Municipal we will have the Music Videos Competition, a selection of the best portuguese music videos, which innovate in the art of combining music and cinema.

The day ends at Cacau Café-Bar, with the Music Videos Party and André Tentugal, with free entrance.

The tickest for the festival are being sold at the ticket office in Teatro Municipal, at Auditório Municipal and at the Online Ticket Office.
