In less than a month arrives, for the first time in Portugal, the SHORT FILM DAY, the great celebration of short film, an event that was born in France in 2011 and will be held simultaneously in over forty countries around the world.

Albufeira, Barcelos, Braga, Cascais, Coimbra, Constância, Faro, Figueira da Foz, Funchal, Guimarães, Leiria, Lisboa, Matosinhos, Porto, Redondo, Santo Tirso, Sardoal, Senhora da Hora, Tavira, Vila do Conde, Vila Nova de Gaia and Viseu are the cities that will participate in the first portuguese edition of the SHORT FILM DAY.

During the day of December 21, there will be presented at different locations a selection of films with national and international productions, for adults and children. Having the humor as reference "This is not a Funny Program" is a collection of fun short films that promise hilarious versions of European comedy. The sessions "Curtas Portuguesas 1" and " Curtas Portuguesas 2" will screen a selection of the best recent national short films, reflecting the quality of Portuguese cinema. Thinking in the younger audiences, "Curtinhas" presents a collection of hilarious short films for an evening well spent in family.

The exhibition of short films during this short, but intense, day provides an opportunity to discover a large number of filmmakers and their works. In Portugal, the initiative, that is already a success around the world, is organized by Agência - Portuguese Short Film Agency.
