Curtas' Drive-In On the day that the 28th edition of Curtas Vila do Conde would have originally started, on July 11th, the festival decides to celebrate the short film format in an alternative version, with a special session at the Drive-In space, in Seca do Bacalhau

This will be a session adapted to current times, which recalls the nostalgia of the old Drive-in sessions, screening some of the award-winning films throughout the 27 editions of Curtas, focusing also on portuguese films.

Guided tour of Solar’s exhibition On July 11th, at 4 pm, Solar - Cinematic Art Gallery promotes a special guided visit to the Animar 15 exhibition, with the presence of Regina Pessoa, one of the exhibition's featured directors.

Registration must be done in advance through the following link, with a maximum limit of 12 participants. The Animar 15 exhibition remains at the Solar - Cinematic Art Gallery until September 6, and can now be visited from Monday to Saturday, from 2 pm to 6 pm.

Portuguese films in Agência's Video on Demand (VoD) While still celebrating 20 years of its activity, Agência - Portuguese Short Film Agency launches its new Video on Demand (VoD) service, offering the viewing of films from its catalogue.

At this moment, the platform includes films by notorious authors such as Manoel de Oliveira, Eugene Green, Susana Nobre, João Pedro Rodrigues and João Rui Guerra da Mata, Miguel Gomes, Leonor Noivo, João Salaviza, Mónica Santos and Alice Eça Guimarães, Cláudia Varejão, Carlos Conceição, Regina Pessoa, among others.

Looking Back: the stories of the Experimental Competition Although more recent, the Experimental Competition is already one of the distinguished images of Curtas Vila do Conde, as it screens the vanguard and the best of what is done in the world within this area, through a rigorous but also bold selection.

And since 2009, that is, for eleven editions, the festival has presented an Experimental Competition, an autonomous program that increasingly asserts itself as a very exciting aspect of cinema.
