CALL FOR ENTRIES 2021
The 28th Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival, taking place from 10 to 18 July 2021, announces the call for entries for new short films produced in 2020 or 2021, within the duration limit of 60 minutes, in film (35mm or 16 mm) or digital (DCP).
You can submit your new films in the following competitions:
- International (fiction, documentary and animation);
- Portuguese (Portuguese films of fiction, documentary and animation);
- Experimental (films that defy narrative and technical conventions);
- Music Videos (music videos for Portuguese bands or artists, or directed by Portuguese authors until 30 minutes);
- Curtinhas (films for kids until 30 minutes);
- Take One (school films, until 30 minutes, by Portuguese film students, national or in film schools abroad).

DEADLINES AND SUBMISSION FEES:

Submission deadline: 30th June 2021.
Submission Fees:
- completed and paid entries till 31st December 2020 – 11 EUR/ 13 USD;
- completed and paid entries from 1st of January till 28th February 2021 – 13 EUR/ 15 USD;
- completed and paid entries from 1st of March till 30th April 2021 – 15 EUR/ 18 USD.

The festival does not guarantee viewing and appreciation of films received after these dates.
