Miguel Campinho's poster is the new face of the next edition of My Generation
The graphic image for the 2025 edition of the My Generation section of Curtas Vila do Conde has been revealed. The design was created by Miguel Campinho, a student at the School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD).
The My Generation section of Curtas Vila do Conde is an innovative educational program that engages with 14 to 18-year-old students from five educational institutions in Vila do Conde and Póvoa de Varzim. These students take on a variety of responsibilities, including selecting films, promoting the event in their schools, writing synopses and critical essays, and even presenting screenings alongside guest directors.
Since its establishment in 2019, My Generation has strengthened the collaboration between the festival and local educational institutions, promoting film education and stimulating critical and artistic thinking among young people.
The short films selected by this young selection comitee will be screened during the 33rd Curtas Vila do Conde on July 12th and 20th, 2025. The winners will be revealed at the 3rd Turma Curtas event in November, a dedicated event for school audiences. Additionally, My Generation features an exhibition featuring the ESMAD posters, which will be on display at the Vila do Conde Municipal Theatre and at the various associated educational establishments. This exhibition will coincide with the 3rd edition of the Turma Curtas event, scheduled for November 11th to 21st.
This year, the winning poster design was created by Miguel Campinho, a Design student at ESMAD. The chosen design captures the vibrant and creative spirit that defines this initiative, giving a platform to the next generation of programmers and film enthusiasts.
