"Curta" is another idea that remains of a Festival, with a perhaps pompous and long name, with a program limited to a duration we keep, in the name, just that. "Curtas Vila do Conde" becomes something else: after timid rehearsals in successive evolutions over 9 years, we launched, at the end of a cycle of 10, a platform for what would be, in our opinion, the proposal more consistent programming. We believe we have managed to prove it, through the successful feedback from critics and the public, through the pleasure of the change that we have been able to taste each year. The set of works on display and target of treatment is everything we define as "Shorts" and that somehow articulates itself in a programming logic that is somewhat different from the traditional film festivals in the world but which is ours.
