In recent years, particularly in our country, we have witnessed the emergence of the most varied manifestations - cycles, festivals, exhibitions - linked to the dissemination and exhibition of films. Due to what may appear to be an exaggerated growth, there is sometimes a tendency to devalue the importance of film festivals, but it should be said that, on the contrary, in these times they will never be too much nor have they ever been so important in the context of cinematographic diffusion, and it would be good if all those responsible for the matter were aware of this fact. In fact, festivals are today almost exclusively the only places where a true film culture can still be found that is absent, everywhere, from the more conventional exhibition channels, to the point that, as a whole, festivals form, nowadays, cinema from all over the world - and not just Hollywood cinema, and it should be noted that nothing moves us against this cinema, it is just a matter of counteracting a hegemony that seems exaggerated to us.
