On board of the cruise liner “France”, the models Jean-Jacques and Kim pose for a photo-novel. The wedding scene they enact so convincingly intrigue the ship’s other passengers who watch curiously, on the sidelines. Especially Sylvie, who quickly falls in love for the handsome man. François Reichenbach observes all this human theatre and shows up as “the indiscreet one”, playing the nosy filmmaker. His camera captures the performances of this group of characters in different degrees of mise-en-scène: the photo-novel’s fiction, the observational documentary, and the meta-cinema essay. This will be the world première of the movie’s digitally restored copy.
