Exploring notions of home and belonging, “Available Light” portraits residential precarity in contemporary society. Comprising interviews with workers at the Tokyo Open Air Architecture Museum and fragments of conversations with renters of that city and London, a dialectic opens between the museum’s preserved historical ideal of the domestic and the unsettling realities of accommodation in modern cities.
