In this film, which brings together video footage from Cairo in 2007, we follow Abdellah as he searches for Omar through the streets, in cafés, on the metro and behind every face. The love that guides him on this quest becomes the filmmaker’s love for everything he encounters. Abdellah Taïa’s wandering camera lifts the veil on the Egyptian capital, in a country where homosexuality remains illegal.
