Considered as the first fiction film shot in Portugal, "Os Crimes de Diogo Alves" (The Crimes of Diogo Alves) surprises us with its realism, subtly and cruelty (A child being pushed from an aqueduct), at the end however justice wins with Diogo Alves's trial.
