A couple with a child, happy at first sight, sets out on a journey whose goal and destination remains unknown for the viewer. Later on in the course of the trip there is a car accident, and the man dies. The woman and her daughter continue on their way together. When it becomes clear that the story keeps repeating itself, with small variations, then doubt begins to set in for the spectator.
