A few years ago I started diving. Like most people I was addicted immediately. Floating free, the deep blue sea, seeing fantastic fishes and feeling completely relaxed was the result of taking a deep dive into the sea. The thing that struck me most (as a film professional) was that all the films I had seen about the life underwater did not come close to my personal experiences. There were no sharks (at least where I dived), there was no Titanic to discover and the coral reefs were more beautiful years ago everybody told me. Also most films that I saw were accompanied by synthesizer and/or new age music and were films about species of fish and/or the environment. Nothing new under the sun. I kept on diving and enjoyed myself immensely. Finally I had found a place on this earth were there was no film, no work. Just relaxation.
