Adolescent rituals are played out in the wintry landscapes of Northern Finland. A teenage girl skates on a frozen lake, while a teenage boy poses with a guitar in his room. Moving between the city and the wilderness, "Magnetic North" weaves a pattern of imagined 'calls and answerings' between its characters, across distances, through sound and movement.Between the solitary skating girls in the great outdoors, and the solitary guitar-boys in the dingy indoors, this magnetic northern landscape evokes an enigmatic world of adolescent fantasy, yearning and imagination.
