November 2009. In the past few days the ocean water temperature went down considerably and the Azores’ Tuna fish migrated south. Onboard the “Atuneiro” (Tuna fishing boat) Pepe Cumbrera, the remaining Atuneiro still active in S. Miguel, the crew from Madeira island navigates the Azorean sea searching for the illusive fish. The objective of this documentary filmed for 3 days onboard the Atuneiro is to capture the wait, hope and life of its crew.
