“Reserved” is a documentary about a place some have heard of but few actually know: the dance hall that opens in the afternoons. It has always been considered a seamy place, although few know anything about the lives of the 300 people who go there or about the reasons why they go. The characters in this film are pensioners, widowers and divorcees who found a way of growing old less alone. Music, lights, companionship, love and dance stop the time and leave problems outside. They laugh and remember. They’re 20 years younger… at least during one afternoon.
