In recent centuries, which scientists have termed the Anthropocene age, human activity has had a significant global impact on the climate of planet earth and its ecosystems. One of the results of this has been deposits of radioactive waste. From a helicopter flying a safe distance away from any deadly radiation, Rosa Barba films various nuclear installations and mutant landscapes in order to reflect on the human footprint and its implications for the future. The dizzying images are interspersed with radio noise, mutant voices and sound collages to describe the materials in these deposits and catalogue the landscape, as if everything in the sound itself has also been contaminated.
