The Canadian François Jaros is a self-taught filmmaker. In “Oh What a Wonderful Feeling”, the spectator creates their own narrative through suggestions that transport them, like the leading character, to a night spent in a truck stop. It is a kind of haunting, with sparse dialogue, a fixed camera and slow zooms. Part of the action is suggested by the sounds associated with each of the characters, whilst the lack of any horizon line seems to presage a threat that hovers over the entire narrative. (SG)
