Prolific filmmaker Robert Todd brings us a montage of black-and-white images which together reveal his exhaustive analysis of the reflection and refraction of light on ice. His masterful camera skills and broad experience with film and in camera montage once again give him the opportunity to take us on a journey through diverse landscapes, from urban parks to frozen plains and mountains, and to places that at one moment are flooded in light and then filmed in shadow. Poetic and very visual, the film goes to the limit in exploring the possibilities of capturing the most minuscule bits of light and contrasting them in the maximum reflection and refraction on surfaces made of ice. The cinematographic experiences of Robert Todd are quite well-known to the general public at Curtas: in 2012 he presented his first European retrospective work in Vila do Conde which even included a film/concert with the band Evols and became a jury member after having been selected for the experimental competition on several occasions.
