Friendships are made at night, around a smoking chimney in a forgotten house at the foot of a mountain at dawn on a freezing February morning. Coloured by fable and fantasy – there is even a Little Red Riding Hood lost in the forest and afraid of the wicked wolves – there is also a warning: “This makes magic in your mind; use it carefully or else it will burn”. However, this film by Rita Barbosa also appears to be about friends and does not hide or deny its cinephile family, with clear references to its aesthetic universe. (PC)
