Co-produced by the prestigious National Film Board of Canada, this animation by Croatian-Canadian Eva Cvijanovic is a poetic allegory that adapts a very popular classic children's tale by the Bosnian Serb author Branko Copic. It was premiered worldwide at the last edition of the Berlin Festival where it got a Special Mention of the Jury, and was selected for Annecy, the most prestigious animation festival in the international scene. Animated through puppets and stop-motion, "Hedgehog's Home" is a fable narrated in rhymes starring a friendly and peaceful hedgehog who is confronted by other forest animals (fox, wolf, bear, boar) who do not understand the love and pride he manifests for his humble home, which results in a humanist and anti-capitalist manifesto. This animation marks the debut of Eva Cvijanovic at Curtas Vila do Conde. (PC)
