Inspired by the 17th-century German physicist Athanasius Kircher, who affirmed that the volcanoes are all linked by a network of communicating vessels, Helena Girón and Samuel Delgado expand their exploration of the Canary Islands landscape and of the materiality of celluloid, using expired and hand developed 16mm film, renouncing to narrative questions to focus on a unique visual and sound experience in which cinema and nature are interconnected. With landscapes and sounds that do not seem to be part of our world, a mythological territory emerge on this journey to the origins of cinema and Earth. This is the second film by Helena Girón and Samuel Delgado, who have also presented in Curtas Vila do Conde their previous work "Sin Dios ni Santa Maria" (2015). (MD)
