Laetitia, Roca, Nino and Nael are four teenage friends that form the band Knife Fight, which rehearses after class. But the band is close to the end, since Laetitia is about to move to another school and city. In one of the last encounters they have as a band, the latent tension creates an unstable and uncomfortable mood for all. In this short film, with exquisite visual and sound work, Caroline Poggi and Jonathan Vinel approach, once again, the transition between adolescence and adulthood, namely the awareness of the need for responsibility, a recurring theme in previous short films. Involved in their unconscious world of songs and love affairs, these young people have tremendous difficulty looking ahead, managing their feelings, making decisions, finding their place and overcoming loss. Selected for the Critics Week of the Cannes Film Festival, "After School Knife Fight" is the third movie of this French team of filmmakers at Curtas Vila do Conde (PC).
