We join Margaux and her boyfriend’s trip on a visit to the grandparents in Portugal. An argument with a stranger, in the distance, introduces us to this tense road trip and to Bruno's unexplained behaviors. Margaux's state of restlessness and doubt about the boyfriend is shown in the film with the consequent reflection on the couple’s relationship. The gestures between them are forced rather than natural, in a latent fear of the reactions that a refusal can unleash. Laughter is exaggerated and unreal, love is suspicious. Margaux, increasingly apprehensive, in absences and delusions, seems to not know what to do. On this film the camera is restless and there are tight shots that give us the idea of the protagonist's restrain and her longing for relief. Jenna Hasse, director and actress on this short film, returns with "Let it Go" to the Curtas Vila do Conde competition after presenting, in 2014, the film "In August". (NM)
