25 years after the edition of “Mutantes S.21” Mão Morta celebrates, with a concert, the anniversary of an album that, when it was released, expanded the band’s fan base among a wider audience. Until then the band was known mainly on the underground national Portuguese scene. For the first time all the themes of the album will be performed, including three that were never played live. 6 other themes, selected by the band, will be also part of the line-up. The lyrics talk about urban environments, echoing stories of cities. Mutantes S.21 was also an album in the transition from vinyl to CD, and the band thought it would be the last one to be released on the old format. Due to this, it had a special edition with a graphic book. In 2017, the band prefers to highlight that fact by inviting 15 Portuguese illustrators to create a body of work inspired by each of the tracks presented on this Tour. Over these illustrations João Martinho Moura, a well-known creator in Digital Art, will develop a visual piece in real time, with the band. These are all great reasons to expect that this 2017 multi-city national tour will not be a mere nostalgic rerun.
