Which adventures has the twilight in store for the equinox? Two women are sailing on a speedboat towards an islet, carrying an urn containing ashes. Whose ashes are those? We will never know. On the equinox, when day and night are of equal duration, time gets a little mixed up, and so do light and darkness. It's in the dusk that Ivo M. Ferreira finds the twist and the strength of his latest short film. Once the two women find themselves stuck in the wilderness, they approach a young man and a fisherman, the beach's lighthouse keepers, and give in to the unknown. When dawn breaks, the wind is blowing strongly, covering their curled-up bodies with sand. Ivo M. Ferreira returns to short films, after “On the Dragon's Flake” (2013), with an enigmatic story of two equinox romances that is full of mysticism: from the rebirth we associate with equinox to the little lizard that keeps transmuting and whose gaze stars in the opening shot of the film.
