Built in a meta-cinematographic way, as if everyday life was a film organized by scenes and sequences, “Cenas De Uma Vida Amorosa” follows the ups and downs on the intimate relationship between Marta and Luis, a young couple who are trying to build a life together. Swinging between caring moments and other more aggressive ones, Marta and Luís live the scenes of their love life inside a claustrophobic attic in Lisbon that exacerbates the feelings they are experiencing, making everything very intense and sometimes too dramatic. This film, which marks the debut of Miguel Afonso in Curtas, addresses the pleasures and growth pains of two young people and a unique relationship, a kind of generational portrait that departs from concrete situations, without any moralist or normalizing pretension, only to invite to reflect on the vicissitudes of human relations.
