Released earlier this year, “Cops” is the first single from Evols’ album “III”. The indie band from Porto has established a close relationship with Curtas over the years, as has filmmaker Hugo Amaral, who has previously competed at the festival with another work for Evols. This time, the partnership brings forth a music video that explores the melodic and nostalgic tone of the band, with a television format (4:3), in which chroma-key is used to emphasize a satirical denunciation of consumer society and its advertising of useless products, which fills hours and hours of TV, creating a world of illusions.
