Based on the true story of Caio Deroci (who narrates the film), “I Bleed” presents an intimate, emotional and impactful account of the personal and social difficulties faced by a person with HIV. Throughout the short film, we are introduced to a whirlwind of emotions, excitements and fears experienced by the narrator, which serve to show us how the easy way out, albeit less painful, is not always the best one. No matter how bad the situation may seem, or how painful people may make it, we can always overcome our hardships and find happiness as long as we have courage and refuse to quit, for that is living. “Present fears are less than horrible imaginings” (William Shakespeare).
