Returning to Curtas Vila do Conde, Gottfried Mentor presents “Benztown”, a realistic short that surprises its viewers with an authentic revolt, waged by the city of Stuttgart against its polluters. In a city saturated by cars (maybe an environmental warning), not always complying with road rules, the polluters will be “punished” by the houses, tunnels, poles, and other elements of the surrounding road, in a very hectic way. By being so spare and simple, playing its randomness in its favor, “Benztown” brings a good dose of humor to the screen.
