Based on three poems by Eugénio de Andrade, Henrique Moura sets out to discover the small community of Póvoa de Atalaia, in the municipality of Fundão, where the poet was born and lived until he was 10 years old. Nowadays, in this place, little remains of what Eugénio de Andrade immortalized in the eponymous poem, with mostly the natural elements persevering, like the “flowering of branches” and the “sudden lark song”. But the documentary focuses primarily on the conversation and singing circles that help people “resist time” and the “rigor of winter”. (PC)
