A photo and a letter, a cork oak and a horse. These are childhood memories that haunt and echo in this film, which delicately reflects on some defining moments of pain and discovery that come with growing up. With emphasis on a text, in equal parts intimate and nostalgic, which, in sync with the images, slowly unveils our interlocutor’s concerns, sometimes through dialogue, but mostly through a monolog, the director thus creates an effect at once calming and unsettling.
