Two geographical areas physically connected only by a bridge, called Motorway 65, coexist in tension due to a conflict rooted in the cultural, social and gender differences between their communities: on the one hand, immigrants from Pontus, a region on the southern coast of the Black Sea; on the other, also immigrants, but from many different origins. Based on the relationship between two brothers, the film portrays a social reality full of difficulties created by the progressive obsolescence of the industry in the Eleusis-Aspropyrgos area, on the outskirts of Athens. Sima and Isaac live in conflict, just like the two communities that never cross each other’s paths, remaining isolated on either side of the bridge.
