Director Luís Sobreiro presents an exciting proposition to go along with Stereoboy’s track “YipMan”, resorting to a camera in constant circular movement around its own axis, filming a closed set, divided in four set pieces, which transform according to the motion speed. The loop suggested by the camera movement is, thus, equated to the track’s sound, which finds in this visual distortion a magnificent effect similar to riding a carousel: vertiginous and bewildering. This is Luís Sobreiro’s third time at Curtas, and the second in the Music Video competition, after the selection of Filho da Mãe’s “Praia” in 2018.
