Call for Entries
Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival is one of the most prestigious film festivals in Portugal, reaching its 33rd edition in 2025, taking place from 12 to 20 July.
Curtas Vila do Conde is dedicated to promoting and sharing high-quality cinematic and audiovisual works, focusing on discovering new films and directors and celebrating the rich legacy of cinema.
The festival accepts short films, including animations, documentaries, fiction films, experimental films, and music videos, produced in 2024 or 2025, with a maximum duration of 60 minutes; however, there are exceptions for certain categories: such as youth and children (Curtinhas competition), competitive section aimed at teenagers, student films (Take One! competition), and video clips (Music Videos competition), which have a 30-minute limit. Subtitles in Portuguese or English are preferable.

· Opening date: July 22nd, 2024 | 16 EUR
· Early Deadline: until December 31st, 2024 | 16 EUR
· Regular Deadline: until February 28th, 2025 | 20 EUR
· Extended Deadline: until April 30th, 2025 | 25 EUR
Entries for the Take One! Competition section are free of charge. To benefit from the discounted rates, entries must be submitted and paid for before the announced deadlines.
