Fiction, animation, documentary, or experimental short films from Portugal, France, and Croatia in the early stages of development are presented to international programmers, broadcasters, and producers. This event aims to foster partnerships between production companies and international decision makers around short film projects. In addition to the pitching sessions, it is also a unique opportunity for producers and participants to engage in informal meetings. This event is organised in collaboration with Institut Français/MaisFRANÇA and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre. The best "In Development" project will receive the following awards:

This initiative prepares directors and producers of short films from Portugal, France, and Croatia selected for the "In Development" activity of Curtas Pro to present their projects in public in a succinct, interesting, and effective way. By promoting a good command of communication tools, the workshop will help establish contacts between film professionals and boost co-productions. This workshop is led by Agathe Berman and organised in collaboration with Institut Français/MaisFRANÇA and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.

These are private screenings of new short films from Portugal, France, and Croatia seeking a world or international premiere. It is an event aimed at all festival programmers and artistic directors, as well as sales agents, distributors, broadcasters, and other film professionals. This event is organised in collaboration with Agência – Portuguese Short Film Agency, Institut Français/MaisFRANÇA, and the Croatian Audiovisual Centre.

Access to the "Industry Screenings" is by invitation only.

This is an opportunity for directors, producers, distributors, film schools, among others, to meet with programmers from the most important international festivals which hold short film competitions. The aim of this meeting is to gain insight into the specificities of each event and to promote films on the international circuit.

Access to "Meet The Festivals" is subject to an application which needs to be approved.

Societies, film festivals, and audiences around the globe are changing at an accelerated pace. In this round table, professionals from different international film festivals will lay out these shifts and present their current approaches to audience development. Then they will anticipate challenges they may face in the future and debate about new lines of action, in dialogue with the public. With the participation of Laurent Crouzeix (Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival), Mari Liis Keevallik (PÖFF Shorts), Mara Marxsen (Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg), Daniel Hadenius-Ebner (Vienna Shorts), and Nuno Rodrigues (Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival), this round table will be moderated by Susana Costa Pereira (Creative Europe MEDIA Desk Portugal).
