Short Title
Maureen Fazendeiro
Maureen Fazendeiro (b. 1989, Créteil, France) is a filmmaker and scriptwriter. Her short films “Motu Maeva” (FID 2014), “Black Sun” (TIFF 2019) and “The Inhabitants” (Cinéma du Réel 2025) have been shown at international film festivals, film library and museums. In the past years she has been dividing her time between individual projects and collaborations with Miguel Gomes, with whom she co-directed “The Tsugua Diaries” (Director’s Fortnight 2021). She worked as casting director and scriptwriter for “Grand Tour” (Cannes Official Competition 2024). She lives and work in Lisbon, Portugal.
Anne Gaschütz
Anne Gaschütz studied Film in Wales and went through all stages of film production at the production company filoufilm. Since then, she has worked as a production assistant and production manager on various short films. Since 2013, she has been part of the International Selection Committee of FILMFEST DRESDEN – International Short Film Festival, where she has served as director since 2024. In 2021, she joined the Pardi di domani selection committee at the Locarno Film Festival. She is also one of the founders of Talking Shorts and a member of the European Film Academy.
João Rosas
João Rosas is the author of three short story books and the films “A Minha Mãe é Pianista” (2005), “Birth of a City” (2009), “Entrecampos” (2012), “Maria do Mar” (2015), which premiered in Locarno and won awards at Curtas 2015 as well as in Spain and Brazil, and “Catavento” (2020), Best Short Film at BAFICI 2021 and Special Jury Mention at the 18th Brive Festival. The documentary “A Morte de uma Cidade” (2022) won the DocAlliance Award for Best Feature Documentary. “A Vida Luminosa” is his latest film.
Emily Wright
Emily Wright
Emily Wright is a film curator and media professional, currently working as global senior programming manager for MUBI, where she curates and licenses titles globally for the streaming platform. Prior to MUBI, she was a film programmer for Porto/Post/Doc, a program advisor at Open City Documentary Festival, and curated seasons at the Cinemateca de Bogotá and Close-Up London. Alongside her festival work, she has worked as a producer and creative consultant on short documentaries for international news outlets, such as Time Magazine, The Atlantic, The Guardian, and The New Yorker.

Short Title
Tânia Dinis
Tânia Dinis (1983), Master in Contemporary Artistic Practices from FBAUP (2015), is an artist and director with a career in experimental and documentary cinema, combining archival images, family memoirs, performative practices, and relational aesthetics. Her cinematic work has been acclaimed nationally and internationally, notably the films “Tão pequeninas, tinham o ar de serem já crescidas”, “Laura” and “Não são favas, são feijocas”. She also develops artistic creation projects with a strong research component, has participated in several collective exhibitions and is represented in the contemporary art collection of the Municipality of Porto and at Harvard University Library.
João Terras
João Terras is curator and interim artistic director of CIAJG and Artes Visuais d’A Oficina, located at Palácio Vila Flor in Guimarães, since 2024. He was project coordinator at the Art Center of the School of Arts at Universidade Católica do Porto and production director for the Portuguese representation at the 18th Venice Architecture Biennale 2023, with the project "Fertile Futures." From 2017 to 2022, he was assistant curator at Espaço MIRA in Porto. Notable collaborations include artists such as André Príncipe, Artur Barrio, Ana Vaz, Carla Filipe, Domenico Lancellotti, among others.
Billy Woodberry
Billy Woodberry is an American filmmaker, known as one of the central figures of the L.A. Rebellion film movement. He debuted with the film “Bless Their Little Hearts” (1984), a pioneering and seminal work of the L.A. Rebellion, widely acclaimed by critics. He remains active in promoting alternative narratives within independent cinema. In 1989, Woodberry began teaching at the California Institute of the Arts. His work has been showcased at institutions such as MoMA, Tate Modern, and Centre Pompidou, as well as at film festivals including Cannes, Berlin, and Rotterdam, among others.

Short Title
Rita Capucho
Rita Capucho is one of the founders and co-director of Porto Femme – International Film Festival, programmer of Femme Sessions and Shortcutz Aveiro. She works as a producer, curator, and trainer in various cultural contexts. She is founder and board member of MUTIM – Association of Women Workers in Moving Image. Since 2004, she has been part of the Aveiro Poetic Group, currently serving as its president. She is also one of the organizers of Poetry Slam Aveiro and coordinator of the Portugal Slam Platform.
Leo Černic
Leo Černic is an Italian - Slovenian author of short animated films, passionate about independent film. He graduated in Film and Television directing from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana (Slovenia) and later continued his studies in animation at the Experimental Center of Cinematography in Turin (Italy). His graduation film “Pentola” received numerous awards worldwide and was screened at Annecy, Clermont-Ferrand, Animafest Zagreb, IndieLisboa and many other festivals.
Diogo Salgado
Diogo Salgado is a director and producer. “Noite Turva”, his short film premiered in 2020, was selected for the Cannes Film Festival and won the Best Film award in the National Competition at the Curtas Vila do Conde Festival. In 2025, he presented “Vultosos Cumes” at the Rotterdam Festival. In 2023, he founded Bravado Filmes, a production company focused on developing short films by young Portuguese directors.

Short Title

Catarina Miranda Trindade is one of the first female music producers in Portugal. A multi-instrumentalist, composer, producer, and director, she released her album “Ether” at age 15. By 18, she performed on major stages like Sudoeste and opened for the Eels at Lisbon’s Coliseu. After the album “Navia” (2015), she competed in the 2018 Festival da Canção, placing second. In 2020, she released “ØPorto” and in 2024 the critically acclaimed “Pastoral”.
André Tentugal
André Tentugal was born in Porto in 1982. Alongside his career as the mentor of the musical project We Trust, he directed a series of music videos for national bands such as Old Jerusalem, Norberto Lobo, X-Wife, Mind da Gap, Moonspell, Sizo, Foge Foge Bandido, Ornatos Violeta, Sean Riley & The Slowriders, Rodrigo Leão, among others, and international acts like Kap Bambino, Scout Niblett, Tiny Vipers, Ariel Pink, Divine Comedy, etc. He was the director of photography for the film "Land of My Dreams" by Yann Gonzalez, worked on the project "Estaleiro," and made his directorial debut in 2013 with the film "De Onde Os Pássaros Vêem a Cidade”.
PZ
PZ, short for Paulo Zé, began making music at 16 with a computer, a sampler, and one or two synthesizers. With eight albums released to date, PZ composes, produces, and directs his own music videos. In his visual work, he has collaborated with directors such as Alexandre Azinheira, Nuno Beato, and Filipa Cardoso. Recently, PZ was also responsible for the soundtrack of the theater play "Could Be Worse: The Musical" and appeared in the RTP Lab TV series "Menos Um”. In 2025, he released his latest album, "Apocalypse Later”.
