My Generation is a programme with a certain autonomy within Curtas Vila do Conde, since it is programmed by young teenagers and is aimed at new audiences. It results from a work in partnership with four secondary schools in the region and with ESMAD – School of Media Arts and Design, based in Vila do Conde.

This competition section uses a selection methodology similar to the other competitions, but its members are chosen among students from the participant schools. The students are also in charge of several organisational aspects, such as graphic design, film selection or the elaboration of texts and synopses.

In 2025, My Generation was part of TURMA CURTAS – 3rd Cinema Showcase for Schools, a special and exclusive programme for school communities, which ran from November 11st to 21st.

Program curated by young people from four secondary schools in the region and the School of Media Arts and Design (ESMAD), based in Vila do Conde.
