Unquestionably the most energetic and fun section of Curtas, the Curtinhas program includes competitions in three age groups (M/3, M/6, M/9), whose winners are decided by an attentive and very demanding jury made up of a group of 10 children aged between 8 and 12 years. The opening session of this edition will bring to the Municipal Theater of Vila do Conde the long-awaited feature film “Lightyear”, which sees the return of one of the most beloved heroes of animated cinema in recent decades. The closing session presents a selection of films by the Cinemini Europe project, which includes timeless films from the history of cinema, such as “Arrival of a train at La Ciotat” (1895, Lumière brothers) or “A Colour Box” (1935, Len Lye). To mark the 30th edition of Curtas, Curtinhas also includes an itinerant cinema, the Inflatable Cinema, which will tour some locations in the municipality of Vila do Conde, between the 9th and 17th of July, with several daily screenings.
