This exhibition presents a selection of works created during the 9th edition of MAD Jam Fest, the result of various creative activities developed around the surprise theme ‘The Wonderful Grotesque’, revealed to participants at the beginning of the event. MAD Jam Fest is an event promoted by the Multimedia Department of ESMAD, held annually since 2017 in February, with the support of the ESMAD Student Association (AE ESMAD) and the collaboration of the Department of Image Arts.  

It is a gathering of multidisciplinary creative experiences, offering a space for intensive creation, challenging artistic production in the areas of video games, animation, photography, video and cinema. Throughout the event, participants are invited to explore, experiment and share new approaches, languages, technologies and unique ideas. The creative experiences took place over an intensive weekend and attracted around 100 participants. The works exhibited in photographic format are the result of MAD Photo Jam, while the remaining works were aggregated in video format, reproduced in a continuous cycle on screen, and include creations from the areas of cinema/video, animation and video games.
