The Portuguese Panorama section seeks to show the public of Vila do Conde some of the best Portuguese short films already premiered in other national festivals and which, therefore, are not eligible for the Portuguese Competition at Curtas. In this year's edition, four short films will be screened that are being very well received by critics and the public of several international festivals: "The Gabage Man", the latest animation by Laura Gonçalves, a regular presence in Vila do Conde, has already been awarded at Monstra and is in Annecy's selection; "Becoming a Man in the Middle Ages", by Pedro Neves Marques, and "Blue Has No Dimensions", by Ágata de Pinho, were both in competition in Rotterdam; and "By Flávio", by Pedro Cabeleira, competed in the Berlinale.
