This year’s edition features eight outstanding short films, each one having earned the public’s recognition in its country of origin. These works are now part of a European tour that begins at the Brussels Short Film Festival (BSFF), the coordinating entity of the project, and includes a stop at the 33rd edition of Curtas Vila do Conde, where the Portuguese audience will have the opportunity to watch and vote for their favourite short film.

The ESFAA serves as a key platform for highlighting European short film production, fostering cultural dialogue across different regions, and reinforcing the role of audiences as active participants in the celebration and recognition of contemporary cinema.

In addition to BSFF and Curtas Vila do Conde, the project includes the following partner festivals: Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival (France), Go Short - International Short Film Festival Nijmegen (Netherlands), Interfilm - International Short Film Festival Berlin (Germany), Short Waves Festival (Poland), Tampere Film Festival (Finland), Alcine - Festival de Cine Alcalá de Henares (Spain), Lviv International Short Film Festival Wiz Art (Ukraine), and FeKK - Ljubljana Short Film Festival (Slovenia).
