During Curtas Vila do Conde, cinema meets music in a relaxed and festive atmosphere that stretches from late afternoon into the early hours of the morning. The festival’s traditional happy hours, held daily at 5:00 PM in the courtyard of Solar – Cinematic Art Gallery, return as a gathering point for guests and the general public, animated by an eclectic lineup of DJs.

This year, the sounds also reach the gardens of the Lace Museum, which host a special "Jazz in the Garden" session on Wednesday, July 16, featuring the Carlos Azevedo Trio and vocalist Polly Rose Neubauer — a unique blend of nature, music, and relaxation.

As the sun sets, the party continues. Various venues across the city — such as Café Pátio and the Municipal Auditorium — come alive with Late Night Sessions, concerts, and after parties. The festival even steps beyond city limits, with a special night at the Casa do Xisto, in Macieira de Rates (Barcelos), on Wednesday, July 16, combining film screenings with a dance floor vibe.

Highlights of the program include:

• Saturday, July 12th: “The Last Days of Disco After Party” at Café Pátio, featuring director Whit Stillman and DJ Rodrigo Affreixo.

• Tuesday, July 15th: In Development award ceremony with DJ Kikas, followed by a party with DJ Sérgio Gomes at the Auditorium.

• Thursday and Friday (July 17th and 18th): Double DJ sets at Solar, featuring names like Ephe May and members of the collective Os Suspeitos, culminating with DJ Alfredo (member of the Sensible Soccers) at the Auditorium.

• Closing on Saturday, July 19th, with DJ rivetphoenix in the afternoon and a final Late Night Session at Café Pátio.

With a lineup that blends film, socializing, and a wide range of musical experiences, Curtas once again affirms itself as a festival that lives intensely — on and off screen.
