On the opening day of the festival, TV Cine will screen four notable works from the previous edition, by Alexandra Ramires, Laura Gonçalves, Daniel Soares, Maria Trigo Teixeira, and Mário Macedo—filmmakers who have won over audiences and critics with their unique visions and innovative narratives.

Starting at 8:55 p.m., the special offers viewers a unique opportunity to (re)discover short films that stood out in previous competitions:

This year, the partnership between Curtas Vila do Conde and TV Cine channels takes on a new dimension with the awarding of a special prize: the winner of the National Competition will be awarded the rights to screen their film on TVCine channels and on the new streaming platform, TVCine+. This initiative reinforces the commitment to national cinema and the visibility of its creators.
