American filmmaker Bill Morrison is the author of In Focus at Curtas 2013. On this first day, it will be screened a session with a retrospective of short films (21:45, Room 2). Also in the context of experimental cinema, is screened the first competitive session (18:30, Room 2). Also at night, it happens the third film-concert of the Festival (00:00, Room 2), with the projection of Danish porn movies of the 70's and music by Alex Puddu.

Still in the evening sessions, continue the screenings of the International Competition (22:30 and 17:00, Room 1) - with films by Nicolas Provost and Dominique Gonzalez Foerster - and the Portuguese Competition (21:00, Room 1), with a set of new Portuguese authors. Today is also the second Meetings with Directors (with Paul d'Alva, Sérgio Ribeiro, Filipa César, Tiago Rosa-Rosso and Ivo M. Ferreira).

Also during the day, at 15:00 (Room 2), animation filmmaker Georges Schwizgebel guides a masterclass entitled "How Do Make Animated Films" and in the morning (11:00 am, Room 2) is time from Slovakia at the European Panorama.
