Two short films, presented in the latest edition of Curtas Vila do Conde, are in the list of nominees to the prestigious Academy Awards.

 "The Dam Keeper" by Robert Kondo and Dice Tsutsumi, winner of an Honorable Mention at Curtinhas competition, is nominated for Best Short Film Animation and "La Lampe au Beurre de Yak (Butter Lamp)" by Wei Hu, screened in Vila do Conde in the "Short Matters" program, is in the running for Best Short Film!

 
The winners will be announced at the official ceremony on 22 February.
