This will be another rare opportunity to watch or review these works created by national and international authors at the invitation of Curtas, such as: “Kalkitos”, by Miguel Gomes and “Strokkur”, by João Salaviza, works that competed many times at international film festivals, marveling their audiences; “Bustarenga”, by Ana Maria Gomes, an odyssey in search of the “prince charming”; “Reconversão”, a close look by Thom Andersen on the work of the architect Souto de Moura; “Mahjong”, a neo-noir adventure through the mysterious periphery of Vila do Conde, carried out by the duo João Rui Guerra da Mata and João Pedro Rodrigues, “A Road as a Street”, a cinematic look by Graça Castanheira on the singular book of the same name by the geographer Álvaro Domingues; “ The Mother and the Sea”, an affective and poetic research by Gonçalo Tocha on the incredible fisherwomen of Vila Chã; “The Miracle of Saint Anthony”, a documentary by Sergei Loznitsa about a peculiar ancestral tradition in northern Portugal, and much more.
