The first nominees for the European Film Awards were announced today.
In the short film category, Curtas Vila do Conde is one of 29 film festivals chosen to support the European Film Academyin the films' selection.
The Academy's 4,400 members vote for the big winners, who will be announced next December 10th, in Iceland.
The Portuguese film 'Ice Merchants', by João Gonzalez — awarded in Curtas' 30th edition with Best Film/ INATEL Foundation Award and Pixel Bunker Award, Fricon Audience Award/ International Competition — is among the 5 nominees in the short films category.
