In addition to the film program, this year’s Curtas Vila do Conde invites local merchants to embrace the festival spirit through the showcase contest — Curt'as Montras,

By the theme “Cinema takes us on a journey (O cinema faz-nos viajar)” this initiative encourages commercial and industrial establishments in Vila do Conde to creatively enhance their shop windows, incorporating elements related to cinema and this festival universe. The goal is to engage the community and turn the city into a vibrant film set.

Interested parties can register free of charge between June 1st and 30th using the following form. Participants are required to display their decorations from July 1st to 20th, featuring an identifying element provided by the organisers.

Besides gaining visibility and participating in one of Portugal’s key cultural events, all entrants will receive invitations to the festival’s opening and closing ceremonies, along with tickets to film screenings of their choice (subject to availability). The grand winner will be decided through online public voting, which will run from July 1st to 18th until 11:59 p.m.

The announcement of the winner will take place during the festival (date to be confirmed), where the recipient will be awarded a voucher worth €400, generously provided in partnership with the Personal Travel agency. The voucher will be valid for one year from the date of issuance.
