The Curtinhas program includes competitions in three age groups: M/3, M/6, and M/9.

The prize for this competition is awarded by a group of 10 children aged between 8 and 12, who watch and thoroughly analyze the films in competition. It's a critical job, but also incredibly fun.

At the closing ceremony, the jury announces the winning film and awards the Curtinhas statuette to the winning director.

The members of this exceptional jury will also receive a general pass to all the Festival's children's screenings and a Curtinhas t-shirt.
